Article Summary

As the name suggests these are the scorecard that are shared with the participants of the assessment or benchmark either immediately in case of self-assessment or after the initial public assessment in case of public-assessment.

Which means at the time of generation of this scorecard there is only preliminary information available and there would be no consolidated data to derive the information from. So based on this initial information these preliminary scorecards can have following information:

Company Scores

Here we can display the preliminary score of the company, so company gets an idea about the score they have achieved. This is based on the scoring algorithm. Following are few of the way to display the overall scores

Note

If the reports are being publised at the end of the first round of the cycle and you have data for all the companies than you can also include Sector, Regional, Overall averages

Company's tier rankings / level / category

Based on the scores they have achieved they can be given a tier ranking (eg. 1-5) or level names (eg. Prepare, Design, Implement, Embed, Review) or category (eg. Developing, Establishing, Maturing, Leading etc..) . This can be different for different benchmark's. These categories can be decided based on the ranges of scores. This suggests the companies about their current position and how much more they can achieve.

Chart with scores

We can show a bar chart with companies overall score and individual section level scores so that companies know how they are fairing for individual sections and where to improve.

Chart with companies Y-o-Y comparison

We can enhance the chart mentioned in the previous point to add year on year comparison of the companies overall scores and section level scores. This will help companies to compare their performance from the prevous years to know progress over the years and which areas they have performed better or worst compared to previous years.

Indicator / question level scores

We can show scores they have achieved for each of the indicators, to deep dive into each of the sections where they could have performed better. In this deep dive they would they can find indicator level gaps and understand which individual indicators they can focus on for the next cycle.

In the above image we are also showing count of companies who selected that particular option.

Indicator / question level responses or selections

We can show each individual selections for each of the indicators as a record for them to know how they achieved the score they achieved. What was selected so that they have the record of their own selection or what the analysts have selected based on the publicly available data.

Analysts / assessors comments

For the public assessments we can show the comments / observations added by the analysts / accessors again each of the indicators. This helps them to review the comments and provide their comments in case they do not agree with analysts comments.

Indicator / question level evidence

For public assessments we can also show the evidence that was attached with individual indicators which can be links using which the evidence can be downloaded whenever needed. This further help the companies with their internal reviews and question analysts if they are not happy with the scores given by analyts.

Recommendations

We can display an automated recommendations based on the scores they achieved. These recommendations can also be automated based on the responses they selected for each of the indicators. This can be a great feedback for the companies to progress in their journey to excellence.

Next Steps

These are similar to recommendations but more towards a step wise approach where they have climbed X number of steps and what should they be doing for the next steps and progress in their journey.

Strengths

Sometimes based on the scores or responses we can also identify and display a companies strengths to make them aware of the good things they are doing and what are they strong at. This can motivate them to repeat those things or make it even better.

Weaknesses

Sometimes based on the scores or responses we can also identify and display a companies weaknesses to make them aware of the things they are can improve on and what are they weak at. This can point them to areas where they can improve.
