Introduction


Import Survey Definitions is for bulk import of survey definitions directly from csv file into survey. This screen will also helps to see definitions associated with surveys.

Steps for Import Response

Step 1. To select survey for which you want to import definitions.

Step 2. Download File Format for importing definitions

You can download existing definitions , if the selected survey has existing definitions.

Don't import new definitions without downloading existing ones if you want to use template specific/existing definitions in survey, download existing definitions with the help of Download Existing Definitions button, add definitions to csv file and then import.

Step 3. Importing csv file having definitions.

1.Choose File: Select the csv file which you want to import.

2.Import : Click on import button to import csv.

3.Show Logs:Click on Show Logs to know whether the file is successfully imported or not.

This table shows logs of imported csv files.

Imported Definitions List


This table shows list of definitions which are associated with selected survey in step 1.

  • Action: With the help of delete button in Action column you can delete particular definitions.

FAQ's


Why I can't delete definitions for some surveys?


Previously definitions were template specific, from March 2022 release onwards definitions are survey specific. You can view definitions added in template on Import Survey Definitions screen but cannot delete them because they are template specific.

Do I need to download existing definitions every time before importing new definitions?


No, You have to download exiting definitions only for those surveys which has template specific definitions. You can identify survey's which has template specific definitions with usermessage(highlighted in blue) shown in below image:
